Maryland Fun for Everyone
The Maryland Office of Tourism announced today that it is offering free admission to visitors during National Vacation Week, Jan. 23 – Feb. 2. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this offer while enjoying the state’s many attractions, including historic sites, museums, zoos, parks, festivals and much more.
“Our goal is to make sure everyone knows about our great state and encourages people to come here and experience everything we have to offer,” said Gov. Larry Hogan. “This weeklong celebration is another way we want to showcase what makes Maryland unique. We hope that families will find fun things to do together throughout the entire state.”
National Vacation Week runs from January 23rd to February 2nd, 2018. During this period, admission fees to most state park facilities, museums and historic sites will be waived. In addition, there will be no sales tax charged on purchases made within the state.

In April 2017, the city of Baltimore announced plans to build a $975 million sports complex called Oriole Park at Camden Yard. The stadium would replace Memorial Stadium, where the Orioles had played since 1961.
